Steven Wyss

Born in Thun in 1992, Steven Wyss studied applied linguistics and translation in Winterthur and Geneva as well as creative writing and translation at the University of the Arts Bern. He lives and works as a freelance translator in Zurich.
In 2023, he was awarded the Cultural Prize of the city of Thun as well as a literary commendation from the city of Zurich for his translation of C. F. Ramuz’s What if the Sun.... Steven Wyss also works in the Translation House Looren.
Steven Wyss is the translator of Douna Loup’s novel Les Printemps sauvages (Untamed Springs), which he has brought into German with great sensitivity. At the Leukerbad Literary Festival, he will speak about translation with the author.
