Logan February

Logan February, born in Anambra, Nigeria in 1999, is a non-binary poet, essayist, musician, and LGBTQIA+ activist. Having studied Psychology and Creative Writing in Nigeria and the USA, February now works as a freelance writer. Their writing has been translated into Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and recently into German.
In 2024, the German edition of their poetry collection Mental Voodoo, which February has described as “self-portraits in a foreign tongue.” February’s poetry blends postcolonial, gender-fluid, West African traditions with present-day queer discourses and thwarts common binary thought patterns. February’s artistic work was recognized with “The Future Awards Africa” in 2021. They are the youngest person ever to receive this prize. February currently lives in Berlin on a residency with the DAAD Artist-in-Berlin program.
