“What country has so many details in such a large context; it is like the final movement of a Beethoven symphony.” wrote Rainer Maria Rilke in 1921 about the Pfynwald to Nanny Wunderly-Volkart, a place where for him “Provence and Spain work into each other”. Our little hike leads us to the most beautiful places in the Pfynwald. After an hour-long climb through dense pine forest, we cross the impressive Bhutan suspension bridge at Illgraben, stroll through the steppes in Rottensand and regale on the poetic ponds between the 16 hills. So much biodiversity in so little space, that's the Pfyn Forest.

From Pfyn Ermitage, a bus will take us directly to Leukerbad or back to Leuk train station.
Literary accompaniment for the hike will be provided by Rolf Hermann and Peter Weber.

Registration is already possible using the form or directly to info@literaturfestival.ch.
