For the 30th time, the Upper Valais spa town invites you to the Leukerbad International Literary Festival from 26 to 28 June 2026. With readings and high-caliber discussions in and around Leukerbad, 35 and 40 authors, literary scholars, translators, and critics will offer everything needed for a clear-eyed literary perspective. As an introduction to the festival weekend, we again invite you on Thursday (25 June) on a literary walk with authors and a hiking guide.

The Leukerbad International Literature Festival is turning 30! Will you be joining our celebration?

On the last weekend of June 2026, we will be raising a glass in the mountains above Leukerbad to 30 years of literary highlights, thought-provoking discussions and international discoveries. Enjoy three days of thermal bathes, Valais wine and the magic of language.

The programme for the 30th edition is currently being finalised. If you are looking for a gift or want to savour the anticipation for as long as possible, you can already order your tickets to be delivered to your home.
